Sukkot
Chag HaSukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles is a Feast of God because we are commanded to rest on the first day of this seven day feast. It is the second seventh day feast of the year, and the third and final yearly pilgrimage feast on God's Calendar. Sukkot is a very joyful feast when we are commanded to wave the lulav before the LORD each day as we dwell in the temporary hut we have built for the purpose of remembering and demonstrating to others that we must completely depend on God for everything we need.
Learn about the story of Sukkot in a child-friendly way. The Feast of Sukkot is often called the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Booths because God commanded native Yisra’elites (Israelites) to build a Sukkah and dwell in it for seven days during this festival.
