Tisha B’av 5785 -תשע באב תשפ״ה

In today’s reflection, we are reminded that the tragic events of the 9th of Av were not inevitable. G-d sent the prophet Jeremiah to call the people to repentance, but they refused to listen. Despite their idolatry, G-d was willing to forgive them and guide them along the eternal paths toward His Kingdom. However, due to the hardness of their hearts, they suffered the destruction of the Temple and exile. Tisha B’Av reminds us that rejecting G-d’s grace leads to judgment, but His desire has always been to dwell with His people in Jerusalem.
