Tazriah - ַעיִרְזַת - “She bears seed”

In the first chapter of this week’s Parasha we learn about purification from impurity following the birth of a child. Since the time of man’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden, all humans have been born in a state of sin or impurity. Blood is shed at birth as a means of
purification. This bloodshed also reminds us of God’s judgement of sin.
